Copy a Wire Order

The Create Copy wire function is designed to help you save time. Instead of re-entering the original prescription each time you order a new wire for a patient, you can simply copy the current wire and then modify the prescription as needed.

The Create Copy button is in the center of the Order tab under Wire Order. You can copy a current wire before or after you submit a wire order.

You can also copy a wire by clicking the clock icon in the top right of the screen to display the timeline then click Wire from the New menu.

If you have more than one plan, the Create New Wire box allows you to change the plan upon which the wires will be based (Base Model) to a different plan. Under copy overrides, you can copy the prescription overrides from the current wire as shown above, or you can choose –no overrides – and instead have SureSmile configure an unaltered full expression wire from the base model. Choose –no wire– for an arch if you do not need a wire for an arch.

To create a copy of an archwire from the Order tab

1. Open the wire you would like to copy.
2. Go to the Order tab.
3. Under the Wire Order section, click Create Copy to start a copy of the existing wire.
   The Wire Copy window opens

4. In the  Copy Overrides section, you can copy the prescription overrides from the current wire as shown above, or you can choose –no overrides – and instead have SureSmile configure an unaltered full expression wire from the base model. Choose –no wire– for an arch if you do not need a wire for an arch.
5. Click OK when finished.

To create a copy of an archwire using the New button

1. Open the wire you would like to copy.
2. Expand the timeline by clicking the clock icon in the top right corner.
3. Click the green New button, and click Wire.
   The Create New Wire window opens.

4. (Optional) If you have more than one plan, and want to change the plan upon which the wires will be based, select a different plan from the Base Model drop-down list.
5. In the Copy Overrides section, you can copy the prescription overrides from the current wire as shown above, or you can choose –no overrides – and instead have SureSmile configure an unaltered full expression wire from the base model. Choose –no wire– for an arch if you do not need a wire for an arch.
6. Click:

• Continue...to display a single wire in the wire design workspace. Go to Order an Archwire for instruction about completing your wire order.
• Apply Wire Sequence to open the Wire Sequence window with the default pre-defined wire sequence displayed. Go to Order a Sequence of Archwires for further instructions.
