Before custom archwires can be produced, SureSmile must receive a setup prescription, return the finished setup to you (the treating doctor) for approval, and receive your approval.
Within SureSmile is a set of automated workflow steps, collectively called the setup review checklist, that helps you quickly ensure that your prescription has been precisely implemented as you intended. If you find something in the setup that is not correct, or if you decide you want to make another change, you can modify the setup and communicate your changes to the Digital Lab.
When you open a setup in a To Review state, the setup model opens in the treatment planning workspace. In the upper-left corner of the treatment planning workspace, click the checklist icon on the menu bar to open the checklist for the setup. Each time you select a step in the checklist, the 3D model in the main screen reorients to the ideal position for the step. The photos and x-rays in the two smaller side panes also change as appropriate.
If the delivered setup reflects your treatment objectives, approve the setup and use it to order archwires. If the setup does not represent planned treatment,or if the plan has changed, submit to the Digital Lab a detailed request for modifications or simply make the adjustments yourself.
Note: If you decide to start again with an entirely new setup prescription, you will need to approve the current setup and start another plan with the new prescription.
Designed with the input of doctors who are expert SureSmile users, the setup review checklist takes you step-by-step through a review that helps you complete this task faster and to find issues more easily. Each step in the checklist automatically sets up the screen with the information you need to review an aspect of the setup.
To use the setup review checklist, follow these steps:
Note: The steps are checked off for you to help you keep track of your progress.
