Bracket Preferences

Because the full list of brackets supported by SureSmile is extensive, setting your bracket preferences allows you to restrict the list to only those brackets that you use frequently.

Set your bracket preferences:

Click and select Preferences.
Click Brackets at the top of the page.
Set one or more of the following preferences as needed to match the requirements for your practice.
1. To set Manufacturer preferences, click in the box, hold down the Ctrl key and click the names of companies that supply brackets for your SureSmile patients.
2. To set Family preferences, click in the box, hold down the Ctrl key and click the families (from the selected manufacturers) that apply to your SureSmile patients.
3. To set Slot preference, click in the box and select the default width; hold down the Ctrl key if you want to select more than one width.
4. To set CBCT approved preferences, click in the box and select Yes or No. Selecting Yes includes CBCT approved brackets in the list of brackets you use frequently. Selecting No excludes these brackets from your list.
5. To set IDB tray allowed preferences, click in the box and select Yes or No. Selecting Yes shows only IDB tray approved brackets in the list of brackets you use frequently. Selecting No shows both IDB and non-IDB brackets in your list.
6. To set Default Pre-bonded contact preferences, click in the box and select Full or Minimal contact for labial treatment or for lingual treatment.
  - Full = 3-point contact
  - Minimal = 1-point contact
Important: Gold brackets are not acceptable for CBCT products such as CBCT scans or premium models.
Click Save Changes.

Tip: Click Reset to clear all of your selections for any of the drop-down lists. If nothing is selected in these Preferences, all supported brackets are available in the Brackets window.

Remove a preference

To remove a selection from the manufacturer, family, or slot lists, click the x following the name of the listing that you want to delete.
