Step 1 - Start Patient

Once you have decided on the Aligner case type for the patient, you are ready to proceed:

1. Open the SureSmile patient record.
2. Select the case type prior to submitting the first model order:

• If you use the Add Patient button to create records manually, click the Select Case Type button on the right side of the page.
• If the record is already created, click the Edit button on the Patient Overview and click the Change Case Type button on the right side of the page.

Note: The case fee is not incurred until you order a model.

3. Adjust your treatment timeline for the estimated start date (the appointment where the patient receives the first set of aligners) and the finish date.
