The SureSmile system supports a variety of scan technologies for the convenience of you and your patients. Although the availability of each source of scan data depends on the type of model you are ordering, the scan technologies available are described below.
Handheld intraoral optical scanners:
Limitations: All CBCT scanners must be certified by SureSmile before scans can be accepted. Optical scanners used for intraoral bracket scans must be certified. Intraoral non-bracket scans and scans of plaster models may be done with any optical scanner. Follow the instructions on the following forms to have your scanner certified.
