Step 5 - Order the Pre-Surgical Wires

Order your pre-surgical wires before the post-surgical wires, as you will use the pre-surgical wires first.

• The model on the left is the reference or therapeutic model.
• The model on the right is the base model and shows the teeth in their final state minus the surgical skeletal movements.

The pre-surgical wire should do most of the work as it moves the teeth to their final or near-final position before surgery, so that after surgery the amount of force and tooth movement needed is minimal.

To order pre-surgical wires from a treatment simulation or setup:

1. Under the Order tab, select New Pre-Surgical Wire.
2. Order the wire as you would normally.

Caution: Do not copy a post-surgical wire for use as a pre-surgical wire as the surgical movements will be copied as well.
