Step 2 - Create Post-Surgery Simulations or Post-Surgery Setup
When you create a post-surgical setup, you have two options:
- Create one or more treatment simulations in SureSmile that represent different treatment scenarios. Review these on your own or with the oral surgeon associated with the case. After you determine the most appropriate treatment scenario, attach the corresponding simulation to the setup plan.
OR
- Create a setup plan that includes one of the following:
-
- A rough simulation of the dental alignment and surgical movements. This simulation should include the number of surgical segments for each arch, placement of the surgical cuts, and the amount of movement agreed upon with the oral surgeon.
OR
- A simulation of the surgical movements only with information for dental alignment in the MACROS form for the Digital Lab technician.
OR
- Only written instructions in the MACROS form for both dental alignment and surgical movements. The instructions for surgery should include the number of surgical segments for each arch, placement of the surgical cuts, and amount of movement agreed upon with the oral surgeon.
