Getting Started with SureSmile

SureSmile is the first end-to-end solution for fixed appliances that provides the orthodontist with greater control and efficiency than with traditional orthodontic treatment. This solution applies 3D diagnostic imaging and computer-aided treatment planning to unlock the power of both shape memory alloy and ductile archwires through customization. This results in greater control and efficiency for orthodontic diagnosis and treatment.

SureSmile is comprised of three key components:

• In-vivo scanning, using either a certified third-party scanner or the OraScanner, a patented handheld white light imaging device, used to capture 3D images of a patient's dentition. 3D models with individually movable teeth are produced from a certified scanner or from a combination of scans.
• SureSmile 3D software provides powerful visualization tools for precision diagnosis, treatment simulation, and customized appliance design. You can review digital setups with this software and use it to communicate with patients, colleagues,  and the SureSmile Digital Lab.
• The Digital Lab provides scan and setup processing to produce:
• • 3D diagnostic and therapeutic models for treatment planning and analysis
  • precise, robotically bent archwires,
  • staged models and aligners, and
  • IDB trays.
